Throughout his career, Christopher Shirling has led organizations through complex environments involving startups, turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic growth. His experience includes U.S. and international operations across diverse industries including technology, healthcare, communications, and aerospace.
Leveraging an ability to align financial strategy and business goals, Mr. Shirling drives business transformation and shareholder value. His expertise includes developing and implementing innovative financial structures, optimizing operations, managing P&L, and executing complex M&A transactions.
In his most recent role as Chief Financial Officer of Eversana Intouch, Mr. Shirling led the post-merger integration of systems and people following Eversana’s acquisition of Intouch Group. His leadership in structuring a joint venture with a European firm and subsequently leading its acquisition demonstrates his global business acumen and strategic foresight. During his tenure at Intouch Group, Mr. Shirling helped grow the company’s revenue exponentially, establishing the financial infrastructure needed to support long-term, sustainable growth.
As President of Cable Technologies International, he spearheaded a financial turnaround and led the acquisition and integration of two remote facilities. Similarly, at VML, Inc., he played a pivotal role in scaling the company from a mid-sized firm to a global leader in the marketing and advertising industry, positioning it for a successful sale to WPP PLC.
Mr. Shirling’s broad leadership experience is complemented by his board roles and active community involvement. He has served on numerous boards, including NACD, Intouch Solutions Holding Company, Intouch Peerless Ltd., Indian Hills Country Club, Phi Delta Theta Corporation, the Kansas City Spirit Festival, Shawnee Mission East Fund, and All in for a Cure. He earned recognition as the Kansas City Business Journal CFO of the Year and multiple “Best Place to Work” awards during his tenure at VML. Mr. Shirling began his career at Ernst & Young, where he served as a Senior Staff Auditor before becoming Audit Manager.
As a CPA with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration & Accounting from the University of Kansas, Mr. Shirling combines a strong technical foundation with a forward-thinking approach to leadership, valuable insight and strategic guidance to help organizations navigate complex financial landscapes while driving growth and enhancing shareholder value.
